Meet the Founder: My Journey to Creating People.Africa

Live Well, Be Well, Choose Well-Being

Hi there!

I’m Bonny Wasawa, the founder of People.Africa, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Let me start by saying this: I’m not a guru, an expert, or someone who has it all figured out. I’m just someone who loves learning, growing, and sharing practical ways to live a meaningful, Christ-centered life. This platform is my way of giving back, of sharing what I’ve learned, and of walking alongside you as we navigate life’s challenges and joys together.

How It All Began

When I first came up with the idea for People.Africa, my goal was simple: to highlight Black excellence. I wanted to share stories of successful Africans and people of African ancestry around the world—stories that would inspire, motivate, and celebrate our achievements.

But as I dug deeper, I realized something important: Success isn’t truly success until it’s holistic. It’s not just about career achievements or financial wealth. It’s about spiritual growth, mental clarity, physical health, strong relationships, and a sense of purpose.

I also realized that before I could help others, I needed to help myself. I needed to learn, grow, and apply these principles in my own life. And as I did, I discovered something beautiful: The best way to learn is to teach others.

That’s how People.Africa evolved—from a platform celebrating Black excellence to a space dedicated to holistic wellbeing, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why People.Africa?

The name People.Africa is more than just a domain—it’s an identity. It represents Africans and people of African ancestry worldwide, celebrating our shared heritage, resilience, and potential.

I chose this name because I believe in the power of community and the importance of creating a space where we can come together to learn, grow, and thrive. This platform is for us, by us—a place where we can explore what it means to live holistically, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here, you’ll find thoughtful insights, actionable reflections, and practical guidance to help you:

  • Deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Cultivate a healthy mind and body.
  • Build strong, loving relationships.
  • Manage your finances with wisdom and integrity.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment for yourself and your family.

But more than that, People.Africa is a community—a place where we can learn from each other, support one another, and grow together.

My Vision for the Future

My vision for People.Africa is big, but it’s simple: I want to inspire a global movement of holistic, Christ-centered living.

I envision a world where:

  • Families are strong, united, and rooted in faith.
  • Communities are compassionate, self-reliant, and thriving.
  • Individuals are empowered to live their best lives, anchored in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This vision isn’t just about me—it’s about all of us. It’s about creating a space where we can learn, grow, and uplift one another.

A Personal Invitation

If you’re here, it’s no accident. Whether you’re exploring our resources on faith, diving into tips for mental and physical wellness, or seeking guidance on family and relationships, my hope is that you’ll find something here that inspires and uplifts you.

I’m not perfect, and I don’t have all the answers. But what I do have is a deep love for learning, a passion for sharing, and a firm belief in the transformative power of the Gospel.

So, let’s embark on this journey together. Let’s learn, grow, and thrive—spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. Let’s create lives that are not only fulfilling but also deeply meaningful.

Live Well, Be Well, Choose Well-Being.

With love and faith,
Bonny Wasawa
